A natural blackjack occurs if the initial two cards dealt by the dealer sum up to 21. You posses a pat hand, if your cards sum up to a total between 17 and 21. Regular pay outs are 100%. Normally the payouts are more than the stake amount. There can be a situation where a tie occurs between the dealer and the player. In this scenario, no money is won or lost. A player has an option for splitting the cards and playing them as two hands. This situation is called as split hands. You can place more than one bet before the cards are actually dealt. This situation is known as spread. Hands which sum up to a total 12 to 16 are usually stiff. Your hand can bust if another card is added to it. If you have all the four cards of same types 1.e. hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades, you make a suit. This way you also make a suited blackjack. If you chose to surrender, you will be requires to forfeit half of your original bet amount if you do not wish to play against dealer’s hand. If you want to refuse to accept another card, stand or stay.
