The deck of cards is then split prior to the deal. This split is technically known as the cut which is done with the help of a cut card. This cut card (a simple plastic card) is provided to the player by the dealer himself. Deal refers to the distribution of cards by the dealer. You can also double your original bet. If you want to double down (the technical term for doubling your bet), you will get one more card but no more hits. Hit actually refers to an opportunity of getting one more card in order to get to the total of 21(i.e. desired total of the game). Draw refers to a situation where adding another card is allowed. It is similar to a hit. You can also choose to surrender early. This situation is called early surrender. The only condition is that you will have to decide before the dealer checks his cards for blackjack. When ever any player possesses a blackjack, the dealer shows a potential possibility. This is done with the help of an ace. Therefore even money is offered. If it is accepted, the dealer is supposed to pay out as his chances of getting a blackjack increase immensely.
